How to Use Target Cartwheel

Cartwheel Logo

Target Cartwheel is an a great addition to the Target store coupons and manufacturer's coupons that you can currently use at Target. Save on the things you already buy at Target with Cartwheel! Choose from hundreds of offers with discounts of 5-50% off every area of the store. Just add an offer to your Cartwheel list, scan your barcode in store, and save. It's that easy. It's like carrying around hundreds of coupons in your pocket, all neatly organized and accessible! Cartwheel is a program that can be ran off a smartphone (Android and Apple) or from your computer if you do not have one.

If you do not have a Cartwheel account the first thing you need to do is get a free account here. You must have a Facebook account or an e-mail to sign up. When you have account whether it is through your smart phone or computer most of the steps are the same.

1. Log into your account on your phone or computer.
The screen from a computer looks like this:

The smartphone app looks like this:

They both have the same things just more spread out on the computer and in tabs on the smartphone.

2. Click the browse tab to view offers. You can sort the offers by newest, expiring (need to be used very soon or will no longer be available, trending (most popular deals) or discount (how much the percent off is worth from largest discount to smallest discount). You can search all types of deals at once by newest, expiring, trending or discount or you can select from the tab what you are looking for ex: household essentials or specifically by name such as Windex.

The computer has all of this in the same section.

The smartphone has it in a tab to the left and at the top of the screen:

To begin you can select which offers you want to add to your account. When you first begin you will only have 10 spots that you can fill with offers. As you go along you can earn more spots by completing badges (I will discuss this later).

You browse through the deals you want when you are ready to add an offer you click on the deal and will see this screen

If you are not sure if the deal is something you want or not sure what size/ requirements the deal is for (Sometimes certain sizes or types are included and if there are limitations it will tell you in this section) click on details to check. Also note all offers have expiration dates and if you do not use this offer by the date indicated it will be automatically removed from your spots.

This one appears to be on all Scrubbing Bubbles, Windex, and Pledge spray, wipes, and polish are 10% off with this deal.

If you accidentally add a deal/ no longer want it you can easily remove it by clicking on the deal and remove deal tab.

Once you have filled your spots with the deals you want head to your local Target store with your smartphone or if you did this on the computer you need to print your barcode before you go to the store.

*****Here are some tips before you check out to make the process go smoothly. Unless the details for an offer says otherwise you can only use the percent off deal on up to 4 items per transaction and you can only have your barcode scanned at maximum 6 times in a 24 hour period.  All coupons must be scanned BEFORE you have Cartwheel scanned. I do Target coupons, then manufacturer's coupons and then have my Cartwheel scanned.****

At the top of the home page is the word barcode click on that and it will look like this:
This is only for people who do not have a smartphone you must print this page and take it to Target to get these discounts by presenting this paper to the cashier when you checkout.

If you have a smartphone you can access your barcode by clicking the tab to my Cartwheel and it will look like this:
You must present the cashier the barcode to scan on your Smartphone to get the discounts.

This is how a deal will look if you use just Cartwheel on your receipt:

I had bought Almay makeup remover for $4.99 and $4.89. The Cartwheel discount was 20% off any makeup remover. I saved 97 cents to $1 off each item I bought. I did have a $5/2 Almay cosmetic item manufacturer's coupon stacked with this deal, but it wasn't grouped together for some strange reason. Note discount came off the full price of the item because I did not have a Target coupon.)

If you have a Target coupon, manufacturer's coupon and Cartwheel this is what it will look like:

I bought Holiday M&M's on clearance for $1.59 each. I had a Target coupon for $1.50 stacked with a manufacturer's coupon of $2 off and 10% M&M's Cartwheel offer. Notice this time it factored the discount AFTER the Target coupon had been applied.

Once you have checked out after about 2-3 hours it will update your activity and that is how you can earn badges. At the bottom of the homepage is a tab called badges. If you earn badges by doing certain tasks, saving so much money you can unlock badges to earn more spots to hold offers in your Cartwheel at once. By having multiple spots in my last trip to Target I saved $11.50 in JUST Cartwheel. So earn those badges!

**Tip if you are not sure what other coupons may work for a great deal I use this website to search for coupons for a similar product. For example I searched Windex and found a Target coupon and a manufacturer's coupon I can stack for a great deal!
